TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - An upcoming conference is hoping to equip women with the knowledge and tools necessary to run for public office.
The ‘Women Can Run’ Conference is for women who are interested in being candidates for public office at any level and aims to teach them what it takes to mount a successful campaign. Attendees will also learn what to expect during the campaign season.
Bad news: the conference is SOLD OUT!
Good news: Officials with ‘The Oasis Center for Women and Girls, sponsors of the conference, say the conversation on getting more women involved in politics will continue.
The conference kicks off Friday, September 1 and runs through Sunday, September 3 at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum.
