SECOND CUP: White after Labor Day

MIDWAY, FL - It's Labor Day and many are off and may be taking advantage of the shopping discounts.

Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894, and society eventually adopted it as the netural endpoint for summer fashion.

But there is one fashion faux pas to keep in mind.

Fashion Experts say it's a bid no no to wear white after Labor Day.

But why?

Especially when in the South, it gets extremely hot in September and wearing white might make the most sense to stay cool.

For Second Cup, Sunrise Anchor Christine Souders and Forecaster Melanie Steinburg talked about fashion do's and dont's.

What about wearing black and brown at the same time?

Turns out this rule is actually meant to be broken, as long as you pair with a pattern that combines the two.

Low rise boots, you're actually supposed to cuff the jeans, rather than tucking them in.

For the ladies, wearing socks with flip flops is a huge no no.
