TALLAHASSEe, Fla. (WTXL) - Twenty local women are expected to graduate this weekend from a special program aiming to develop future leaders in our community.

Joining WTXL ABC's Sunrise anchor Christine Souders on Tuesday morning are L. Michelle Salvant and Taleshia Miller-Thomas from The Ruth Mentoring Project (Women's Mentoring Program).

Their 2018 graduation - with the theme Thy Queendom Come - will be Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Go 2 Church, located at 2555 North Monroe St.

The graduation has women from ages 20 to 70.

For the past couple of months, participants were exposed to several comprehensive mentoring

sessions (in-person and online). The women received numerous materials to help reinforce the message of Living Life on Purpose.

Participants were taught key principles to help them develop character,

business/communication skills, improve health/wellness and learn how to Network with a Purpose.

The program has helped women discover purpose, develop as leaders and live by faith in every area of their lives.

The name was inspired by the Book of Ruth in the Bible. The Ruth Mentoring Project is a

branch of N.E.C. Consulting.

The graduation will feature empowerment speakers and musical guests.
