TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An upcoming event in Tallahassee is bringing local leaders together to discuss diversity.

Joining WTXL ABC's Sunrise anchor Malcolm Hornsby on Monday morning to talk about Tallahassee Community College's Building Legacies event are TCC's Heather Mitchell and Kim Moore.

At the event, three well-known leaders will talk about how to build more diverse and inclusive workplaces and communities.

The speakers are Patrick J. Geraghty, the CEO of Florida Blue and chair of the Florida Council of 100; Sean Pittman, managing partner of Pittman Law Group and founder of Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce; and Kelly Stoetzel, head of conferences for TED and former TED content director.

The target audience for this session is area leaders and future leaders who want to build a team that values everyone equally and achieves success together.

The event will be Aug. 31, 2018, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Tallahassee Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center, 444 Appleyard Drive.

The $45 entry fee will benefit TCC scholarships.
