TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Guests on WTXL's Second Cup on Tuesday discussed their Oasis Fun Fest, a fundraising event designed to bring the community together.

Sponsored by the Oasis Christian Center, the event was explained by Ed Lloyd Sr., the senior pastor, and Bruce Ray, who helped plan it.

They say their summer festival, Oasis Fun Fest, will promote unity, harmony and fellowship among diverse people in our community.

A portion of the proceeds raised will benefit the Shoes4School initiative, which provides local elementary-aged youth in low-income households with footwear.

That will help boost the recipients' self-esteem and confidence by encouraging participation in outdoor and athletic activities alongside their peers.

The event will be July 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tom Brown Park, 501 Easterwood Drive, in Tallahassee.

General admission is free and open to the public. Unlimited ride tickets are $20 per person.

Unlimited ride and game tickets are $25 per person. Group rates are available for groups of at least 15 people.

Every adult ticket purchased for all-day games and/or rides gets entered into a $1,000 cash prize drawing. Buy tickets online at OasisFunFest.com/tickets.
