TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Literature lovers, listen up: The Loco for Love Festival is happening this week and will feature dancing, dining and drama from the time of Cervantes and Shakespeare.
WTXL ABC Sunrise Anchor Malcolm Hornsby was joined Monday morning by people from the festival. They are Artistic Director Ben Gunter, Assistant Director and Choreographer Idy Codington, and cast members Marcy Palmer and Lanny Thomas.
The four days of family fun runs from Sept. 13 - 16, 2018, at the Railroad Square Art Park, 602 MacDonnell Drive.
The free Loco for Love Festival includes expert lecture-demonstrations from the time of Cervantes and Shakespeare inviting members of the general public into immersion experiences.
Those experiences include Spanish swordplay, English country dance, classical wrestling, music and 17th-century foodways.
Theater with a Mission (TWAM) presents the play Loco for Love: Cervantes v. Shakespeare in a soap-opera/ telenovela format during this free Loco for Love Festival.
