MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - Barbara Ivery and Kortney Martin of the Jes Us Sisters joined Second Cup on Monday to tell us about their upcoming prayer brunch.

WTXL ABC 27 Sunrise Anchor Christine Souders spoke with them.

The group has been meeting for 22 years. It encourages women who have been molested or raped, single parents in need of honest and sincere advice on raising children alone, married women who just need a hug after a long week of work and family; and also women who have been homeless and those who have made unfavorable decisions and are now suffering the consequences.

It meets once a month and has members of all ages. It uses the Bible to work though life's situations and issues.

The aim of the conference is to bring together even more women together so they will be encouraged.

The free prayer brunch will be Saturday, September 29, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Leroy Collins Public Library on Park Avenue.
