TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Homeschoolers are heading to Mission San Luis for themed lesson plans on the third Wednesdays in August through October and January through April.
On Thursday, Katherine Milazzo from Mission San Luis visited Second Cup to share details about the plans with WTXL ABC Sunrise anchor Christine Souders.
Free day is Saturday, August 25.
Homeschool days is a new project with Mission San Luis that offers fun learning with the following activities:
• SCAVENGER HUNTS on the historic site
The living history staff will assist and provide information. Advanced grade levels will receive additional questions for more in-depth learning.
• CRAFT ACTIVITIES
One craft for K-5 and one for 6-12 grade levels.
Activities run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants should allow two or more hours to complete the activities and it is suggested that they start by 1 p.m. or earlier.
