Everybody in Tallahassee looks forward to November because they know it is time for the Greek Food Festival, presented each year by the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church.
The festival began in the early 1980's as kind of a bake sale, but has grown over the years to one of the major cultural events in Tallahassee.
Everybody that is involved in putting this huge festival together says the work is exhausting, but at the same time fun and exhilarating.
The festival brings together workers from all walks of life and all their varied talents are utilized from engineering, logistics, cooking, music, dancing, planning and much more.
The Greek Food Festival is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, November 2 - 3, and admission is free.
