TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Commander Dennis Baker from the Florida Veterans Foundation visited Second Cup on Thursday morning to tell us about an upcoming event to help keep aging veterans in their homes.
He spoke with WTXL ABC 27 Sunrise Anchor Christine Souders about their 10th anniversary event, a mixer with former Florida State University coach Bobby Bowden, Lt. Gen. Robert Milligan, of the U.S. Marine Corps, and other notables.
The Fundraiser for Aging Veteran Initiative is designed to help keep aging veterans in their homes through Fed VA Funding support and their own earned benefits.
The event will be November 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Tallahassee. It will cost $65 per person.
