TALLAHASSEE, FL -- What started with just two runners has morphed into an event full of participants. This Sunday is the Tallahassee Marathon!

The 43rd Tallahassee Marathon and Half Marathon will be taking place Sunday Feb 5th at 7:30 a.m. in Downtown Tallahassee.

Over 1200 runners run the streets of Tallahassee and take on this amazing journey that takes them into a running tour of our city.

For the first time ever, the expo will hold a kid's marathon, where the youth are invited out to run a 1.2 mile around downtown.

That's not the only change for the Tallahassee marathon. While this year's marathon route will be a little different from the years past, runners will still see some familiar sights along the way.

Runners go through Midtown, our historic community of Myers Park, Cascade Park, our newly built Capital Cascade Pedestrian Bridge, FAMU way and FSU culminating in downtown Tallahassee in our iconic finish line in front of Kleman Plaza.

Fees are $85 for the half-marathon, $105 for the full marathon and $9 for the kid's race.

WTXL is a proud sponsor.
