Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) - Wednesday Morning's Pinterest Party has a weather theme. Incorporating both the sun and rain!
Artistic Director of the Firehouse Arts Center Ali White joined WTXL Sunrise Anchor Christine Souders and Meteorologist Max Tsaparis on Sunrise to teach a new craft, the raindrop sun catcher.
White demonstrated how simple it is to create. All you need are some crayon shavings, wax paper, fish wire and a clothing iron.
To make a Rain Drop it takes four easy steps:
Cut two sheets of wax paper and place any assortment of colored crayon shavings on one sheet of wax paper.
Next you place the other sheet of wax paper on top of the other and press down.
Then you take a heated clothing iron, and iron it over.
From there you use a marker to draw a rain drop shape on the wax paper and use a pair of scissors to cut the shape. Then grab a hole puncher to puncture the top of the rain drop.
Finally, take some fish wire to string through the hole and tie a knot at the end so you can hang the raindrop sun catcher in front of the window.
