TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- This Pinterest Party is for the birds!
Decatur County 4H Associate Theresa Adkins joined us on WTXL Sunrise to show us a nature-inspired easy craft for kids: Pine cone bird feeders.
She says the birds love the protein in peanut butter and it's not bad for them. When all the birdseed has been eaten, you can easily reuse the Pine cone to make another feeder!
Here's Adkins' instructions for Pine cone bird feeders. Click the thumbnail to see more of how it's done.
Steps:
- Select your Pine cones
- Put peanut butter on the edges, which acts as glue for the bird seed
- Add bird seed on top of peanut butter
- Hang it high for the birds to enjoy!
Remember you can catch Pinterest Party every Wednesday morning on WTXL Sunrise. Also check us out on Pinterest for even more inspiration!
