TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - This morning on Sunrise's Pinterest Party, we are learning how to make a "Florida State Glitter Canvas" in honor of FSU's Homecoming.

Shawna Abbatiello is the founder of SSEnterprise on Etsy and taught us how to make this fun decoration.

You can watch the video on the left to see her make it with us step-by-step. The full directions from Abbatiello are below.

Supplies:

-Square canvas, up to 12 in. x 12 in.

-Two full size sheets of scrapbook paper

-One half sheet of scrapbook paper

-Mod podge

-(Optional) heart hole puncher

First print out an outline of Florida on a regular piece of printer paper. Ensure it is the right size to fit on your canvas. Cut out the outline and use it to guide your cut-out on the half sheet of paper.

Next, to make the paper stick better, run over the canvas once or twice with a fine piece of sandpaper. Using mod lodge, evenly paint the back of the full sheet of scrapbook paper. If you are using a canvas under 12 in. x 12 in, place the paper on the canvas and fold the same way you would on a present. For 12 in x 12 in canvases, use a second sheet of the same paper to cover the sides first, then place the full sheet over it.

Either use a heart hole punch over Tallahassee on the Florida cut out, or cut out a heart from the second full sheet to place over the outline. Mod Podge the back of the outline and place it on the canvas. Let dry for 2-3 hours. If parts start to pop up, either use a book or clamp to put pressure on it, or use a small bead of hot glue or super glue.
