TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Meet our Pet of the Week, Spunky!

This four-year old Border Collie mix certainly lives up to her name!

She came to the shelter last month, and volunteers say she gets along great with other dogs and kids.

Spunky has a lot of energy, but knows how to listen and is good at taking commands. She also loves walks.

You can catch our Pet of the Week every Tuesday morning at 6:30 on WTXL Sunrise.

December 1 is Giving Tuesday, and your donations will doubly support Tallahassee Animal Services. The Animal Shelter Foundation will be on hand taking collections, and on Giving Tuesday, all those dollars will be matched.

Tuesday is also the monthly low-cost rabies and microchip clinic at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center for dogs, cats and ferrets. Pets must be at least three months old for rabies shot and two months to get a microchip. Cats must be in a pet carrier and dogs on a leash.

The clinic is December 1 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the shelter (1125 Easterwood Drive). There's a suggested donation of $5 for rabies and $10 for microchip.

This Saturday, the Tallahassee Animal Service Center is hosting its monthly yard sale, selling surplus donated pet items at a discount. All monetary donations will be used to purchase other needed items for shelter animals. Available items include: carriers, crates, cages, aquariums, pet toys, bowls and pet clothes.

For more information on either event, check out the shelter on Facebook.
