TALLAHASSEE, FL -- For the 9th time, Literacy Volunteers of Leon County will be hosting a Readers Theater Dinner event.
The goal of the event is to have local community leaders read their parts in the play, Musketeer!
It's a dinner buffet with a silent auction/reception hour, followed by the play, which lasts about 45 – 60 minutes depending on if the cast sticks to the script! The play this year is a spoof on the three Musketeers, called, Musketeer! And in Leon County's version, the Musketeers are women. This year's cast includes, Commissioner Kristin Dozier, Police Chief Michael DeLeo, Rocky Hanna, LC Schools Superintendent, and former Fire Chief Cindy Dick,, to name a few of this year's readers.
It all kicks off on Saturday, January 27 from 6-10 p.m. at the GFWC Women's Club of Tallahassee.
