Museums: Keeping History Free from Sticky Fingers

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - There is an important reason why artifacts go behind a case and the Museum of Florida History is using an upcoming event to explain that to families.

The 2nd Saturday Family Program is a monthly event where kids and adults can come to the museum to learn and create something that they can take home with them.

This month, families will learn how museum cases can protect artifacts from light, moisture, and sticky fingers to keep them in great condition for generations to come. They will also get to create their own replica case where they can store items important to them.

The program begins at 11am on Saturday, January 10 at the Museum of Florida History on Bronough Street. You can learn more by visiting www.MuseumOfFloridaHistory.com.
