TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Museum of Florida History is temporarily closed for renovations. That doesn't mean that the fun is on hold though, several activities and events are still being offered to the public.
The exhibit galleries will be closed until July 2015 while construction takes place in the R. A. Gray Building situated over the museum. The museum is taking advantage of the time off though and will be installing two new exhibits.
One of the new exhibits is a gallery of photographs featuring Florida landscapes by Clyde Butcher. The second is part two of the "Forever Changed" exhibit which covers Florida history from 1565-1821.
A monthly event that usually takes place at the museum, the Second Saturday Family Programs, will still be taking place at a new location. This month it will be featured at the Knott House Museum on East Park Avenue from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
To keep up to date with other scheduled activities while the museum is closed, continue to check their Facebook and calendar.
