TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Having a landlord or a tenant you don't like is one thing, but how can you tell when a nuisance becomes a problem that needs legal action?
An upcoming information clinic hosted by the Legal Services of North Florida and the Leon County Clerk & Comptroller is helping landlords and tenants answer that question and more.
VIDEO: Bob Inzer, Leon County Clerk & Comptroller, joined us on Sunrise to let viewers know what to expect at the clinic.
The clinic will be held on February 19, 2015, at the Leon County Courthouse Annex, Courtroom 1, at 1920 Thomasville Road. Local attorneys and Judge Ashenafi Richardson will describe the small-claims process and answer questions about how to file a lawsuit as well as what you can expect during the process.
This event runs from 6pm to 8pm and is free to the public; no pre-registration is required. You can learn more by calling 850-385-9007, visiting www.clerk.leon.fl.us or www.lsnf.org, or by emailing John Fenno of Legal Services of North Florida at john@lsnf.org.
If you can't make the February 19 meeting, there will be similar information clinics held 3 additional times this year: April 16, July 30 and October 15.
