TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Making sure that your home has a great first impression for your guests when they come over this holiday season can be a difficult undertaking, but it is doable.
Nicole Toussaint, a Field Manager for The Maids of Tallahassee, joined us on Sunrise this morning with several last minute holiday cleaning tips:
Don't have time to clean your whole house? Dedicate one space where you will focus your guests attention. If it's the living room, clear off tables and dust the television. The television is the focal point of most living rooms and the last thing you want is to focus on the dust.
If you having a lot of guests, plan ahead by moving furniture, like small end tables and large potted plants to a spare room to allow for extra chairs and sitting space. Be sure to dust the new furniture pieces, especially if they haven't been used in a while.
Another handy tip, if you have pets, is to use a lint roller, or even a rubber glove to remove pet hair from sitting surfaces. Your guests will notice if you haven't done this, but they won't think twice if you have.
