TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - The latest craze has been the Apple Watch but for some in the world of golf it's all about Garmin.
J.P. Raymer IV with Edwin Watts Golf says the Garmin Approach S6 changes the plating field, "Versus the old days of walking off your distances this is going to give you yardage throughout the course. It will give you a layout of the green, front, middle and back. It will also give you bunkers and wave points along the way."
If you have a body of water or a bunker the Garmin Approach S6 will tell you exactly how far it is over your desired hazard. Using a cursor on the watch screen you can pin point an exact location for distance readings. But it doesn't stop there, the watch has a built in training mode to help golfers track play and progress.
Raymer says, "It's also going to do some tempo training, some swing training. You'll be able to measure the distance of your drives. It even tells time."
And it's all on you wrist.
The Garmin Approach S6 is just one of the latest Golf Gadgets to hit the market giving the average golfer a leg up on the competition. It's just another way to help track a golfers play on the course.
