TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - One local company is turning golf carts from mild to wild. In the final installment of Golf Gadgets WTXL takes a behind the scenes look at what it takes to customize a golf cart creation.

Jose Mateo the owner of B and V Custom Golf Carts is working on his latest conversion, stretching a two person golf cart into a golf cart limousine. It's an ultimate custom project and the market for these over the top builds is growing.

Mateo says, "The golf carts were a luxury and now they are becoming a necessity. People with big properties use them to go get the mail and a lot of neighborhoods are getting golf cart friendly."

Not to mention with all the add-ons the golf cart can be used for a number of tasks. On their current build the guys at B and V are switching an electric engine cart to gas engine, giving the cart more power. They've installed a 630CC Honda Twin V motor pushing out over 20 horse power. It's be the extras that make a custom golf cart pop.

Mateo gives the cart some special lighting, "Underneath we put neon lights that could go to the beat of the music, you can switch them to certain colors or have a pattern of different colors. It's a nice affects at night it looks like its hovering."

Some of the touches that make a custom cart so special is a paint job from Spray Time.

According to Mateo, "They Do all our solid colors that is a candy apple red paint job. You spray a metallic silver first then you go over it with a the candy apple colors until you get the tint you are looking for."

It takes hours of man power to complete a custom build. B and V's custom creation is equipped with plenty of seating, custom rims and tires, a 10 inch lift, custom paint job, stereo system and your own private light show. A cart like this is ready to terrorize the greens.

B and V not only customize golf carts but they service them as well. They can handle anything from a complete build to changing out a dead battery.
