TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The City of Tallahassee is focusing all month long on on-street outreach for driving safety.
On Wednesday morning's "For Your Protection" on Sunrise, we were joined by Heather Teter, a public information specialist for the City of Tallahassee and TPD Officer David Northway for all of the details on the DRVN 850 campaign.
The goal is to teaching drivers to be aware of some traffic changes and upgrades around the city, including back-in angle parking spaces, roundabouts, mid-block pedestrian crossing signals and bike boxes.
The campaign includes informational videos plus events. On September 18, officials will be at 5th Avenue and Thomasville Road teaching about mid-block crossing. On September 23, they're at Call Street and Stadium Drive for lessons on bike boxes.
