TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Dozens of Florida State Students packed the Turnbull Conference Center on Wednesday for the DigiTech Conference, showing off some of their latest projects and designs.

"Currently now we're in space, but the environment changes," said FSU student Elangie Pereda.

Leaving the planet without even setting foot outside of the Capital City? That's just some of the new technology that students are working on at Florida State University.

Each year, the DigiTech Conference brings them together under one roof to show off their skills.

For students like Benjamin Ouellette, having that sounding board on his new app Recall is key to helping it succeed.

"I've had this idea for a long time now and this is a chance for me to present it to my peers and potentially people who want to help me make this dream become a reality," said Ouellette.

And DigiTech is crossing disciplines. Students in dance, film, and education all had the chance to show off how they're using technology in their own fields.

"This is everyone who's interested in technology and were together. It's a great environment for everyone here," said Ouellette.

Computer professor Ken Baldauf added: "Computing is spread across disciplines now, so it's not one special department of computing, it's in every department."

It's those partnerships that students say can take a product from good, to great.

"The feedback is so valuable, it leads me in the right direction," said Ouellette.

FSU student Elangie Pereda agrees: "It's really wonderful. You make a lot of connections here. Networking is always so important and it's so wonderful to make all these different kinds of relationships and you never know where I can get you later in life."
