TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Publix is trying to crack down on extreme couponing.

The grocery store chain has tightened its coupon policy, listing the new guidelines on its website.

Among the new rules: Publix will only accept eight of the same coupons per day, per household.

All coupons must be originals, no photo copies.

No coupons will be accepted via mobile phone or device.

A manager's approval is needed for any individual coupon for more than $5.
