TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- We’re bring back the apps! WTXL ABC 27 tech reporter Morgan Moore highlights some of the top apps to have on your smartphone and tablet.
This week it’s all about the keyboard.
It may have the word phone in the title, but talking on a smartphone is one of the last things people actually do.
When it comes to communication, we turn to our keyboard, and there are many apps let you type with ease.
For the iPhone and iOS devices there’s Touch Pal.
This app lets you add a swipe keyboard to your devices, allowing you to breeze through your messages without even picking up your finger. Usually those emojis are stuck on a separate keyboard entirely, but with “Touch Pal” they’re built right in, saving you even more time.
And for those using an Android phone, there’s Swype.
You can type, slide, or even speak your messages.
And now you can make the app work for you, with new themes, languages and keyboard positions, Swype is completely customizable.
But if you just can’t express yourself in words, then maybe video is right for you.
This app adds a gif keyboard to your phone, letting you send the small animations or video clips instead of words.
So while you might type a simple “Okay,” now you can make sure your friends really know how you feel.
All of these apps are free for iOS and Android devices.
You can catch this latest round of App-etite every Thursday morning on WTXL Sunrise.
