TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A Tallahassee man has been arrested after deputies found meth inside his truck during a traffic stop.

On Wednesday, the LCSO S.P.I.D.E.R. Unit responded to Birdsview Way after receiving a Crime Stoppers Tip in regards to illegal drug activity in the area.

While deputies were investigating the area, a Ford truck was seen leaving the area, being driven by David Spencer.

Deputies say Spencer was known to have a suspended driver’s license.

Based on this information, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Spencer's truck. When deputies approached his vehicle, Spencer could not provide a valid driver’s license.

LCSO says a k-9 deputy also conducted a drug sniff of the vehicle that came back with positive results.

Deputies then searched the truck and found meth inside the vehicle.

LCSO says Spencer was arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility. He is being charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
