2 hurt after plane crashes near Tallahassee International Airport

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A small plane went down near the Tallahassee International Airport Tuesday afternoon, according to the Leon County Sheriff's office.

The Federal Aviation Administration says a Grumman AA5 crashed near Springhill and Cox roads at 4:18 p.m. Tuesday. That's about one mile south of the Tallahassee International Airport.

A pilot and a passenger were aboard the plane at the time of the crash. LCSO says both of them were hurt but are expected to be okay.

An investigation to determine the probable cause of the accident is underway.
