BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they're investigating the death of a landscaper who apparently drowned in a pond at an upscale Tampa Bay area subdivision.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies responded to the Heritage Harbour neighborhood shortly before noon Monday.
The 40-year-old victim's co-workers told deputies they hadn't seen him for about an hour before finding him trapped under an overturned mower in about four feet of water.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the death was an accident.
