JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - — One woman is in jail after an hour-long standoff with Jackson County deputies.

Jackson County deputies said they got a call Friday afternoon about a person being shot on Lakepoint Road. When they arrived, deputies said they found William Bass with a gunshot wound. Bass told officials he was trying to get into his camper when somebody shot him through the door. Emergency officials then took Bass to the hospital while deputies engaged in a standoff with the suspect in the camper.

Deputies said the suspect, Stephanie Bell, surrendered herself to them after about an hour. She is being charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and several assault charges.

It's unclear if the two know each other. Bass is in stable condition.
