TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL). — A Tallahassee restaurant is paying the bills of their employees, who are struggling during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Sage Restaurant, came up with the idea to use the gratuity from their curbside service, to help their workers.
Like other businesses, the restaurant was reduced to minimal staff to stay afloat since COVID-19.
Their Director of Operations wanted to make sure that if they could help, they would take a burden off of their staff who were not able to work.
"They're our family, you know we have between just hourly employees we have almost 90 staff members. That's 90 family members who were our of work and looking at a pretty dier situation," Daniel Nrenninger said.
Together they were able to pay at least 75 bills.
Sage is grateful to their customers for being so generous so that they can provide this for their workers.
