TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State University plans to hand out about 4,000 solar glasses to students to keep their eyes safe during the solar eclipse.

Administrators want to remind people it is not safe to look directly at the solar eclipse.

The eclipse will begin in Tallahassee on Monday, Aug. 21, at 1:10 p.m. with the peak of the eclipse happening just after 2:30 p.m. on the campus.
