The Gulf of Mexico remains quiet this Friday. Looking out in the Atlantic, Melissa is now a post-tropical cyclone and lacking organization. Gale-force winds are still likely with this system, even though it is weakening across the western and central Azores today. This system is expected to turn eastward today and decelerate. By late Saturday and Sunday this system is expected to dissipate.
