TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The famed marching band of Florida A&M University may miss another year on the football field.

FAMU interim president Larry Robinson said Wednesday there is still no timeline on when The Marching 100 will return. The band has been suspended since the November 2011 hazing death of a drum major.

Robinson said the university has to make sure that it has the right people in place before the band returns. FAMU is still looking for a new band director although the school hopes to interview finalists soon.

Robinson conceded the university must decide by May whether the band will participate in football games this fall.

FAMU has already announced that it has cancelled the summer band camp it normally holds with high school students interested in joining the band.
