TALLAHASSEE, FL (WXL) -- Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchu visited the campus of Rickards High School Saturday.
Menchu was at the campus to help the Rickards High PeaceJam Club expand and touch up the school's peace mural.
According to the organizations website, Menchu received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 for her work as a peaceful advocate of native people's rights in Central America and for her leadership among indigenous peoples worldwide.
This event was organized as part of the PeaceJam Southeast annual conference taking place at Florida State University, April 9 and 10.
