LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) - Deputies say a 77-year-old woman is accused of beating her 81-year-old husband who suffers from Parkinson's disease.
The incident happened Monday at the Avante Rehabilitation Center in Lake Worth.
The Sun Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1K5T0Kv ) reports a nurse heard noises coming from the man's room. When she went to check, she saw Carol Cundra hitting the man's legs and pinching his feet while yelling at him. The man cannot move or speak because of his condition.
The nurse told deputies the noises started again when she returned to the nurse's station. This time she saw Cundra was hitting the man with a television remote.
Cundra is charged with battery on a person 65 or older. She was released from jail but it's unclear if she has a lawyer.
