TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- I chose to show you how to make this cheesy potato bake because it’s my favorite side dish from Christmas Eve dinner with my cousins. When I’m thinking about seconds and ignoring calories (hey, it’s the holidays), I always go back to this dish first. Plus, it stores very well for leftovers the next day! I’ve spent every Christmas Eve of my life (save one) with cousins on my dad’s side of the family, and whenever I make this dish now, I always think of them and the loads of good times we’ve had throughout the years.
You’ll need:
-a 9" x 13" pan
-2 cans cream of chicken soup
-1 bag Ore Ida Potatoes O’Brien
-8 oz sour cream
-8 oz grated cheddar cheese
-Half a bag of corn flakes, crushed
-melted butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Spray bottom of pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking/burning.
Pour a bag of frozen potatoes into the pan. In bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream
And grated cheddar cheese together. Spread this mixture over potatoes, covering all potatoes.
Crush about half a bag of corn flakes, layer this on top of mixture in pan.
Melt enough butter to drizzle over the pan, and drizzle. Bake for about 1 hour 10 minutes.
