The long awaited invasion took place on June 6th, 1944. It was a massive effort of cooperation and it couldn't have come a moment too soon.
Tuesday June 2: “Preparing for D-Day”
We turn our attention to Camp Gordon Johnston in Carrabelle where troops trained for the invasion. We’ll visit the location and take a look at the museum.
Wednesday June 3: "Local Connections"
We reach out to local veterans to share their stories about D-Day and beyond.
Thursday June 4: “D-Day; the Film”
We’ll break down how the film was made and share some of the behind the scenes video.
Friday June 5: “Letters from D-Day”
In the final Chapter of our five part series, we’ll read letters from those who served on that fateful day.
