SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah police are investigating after a woman was shot in the parking lot of a shopping mall.
Savannah-Chatham County police spokesman Sonny Cohrs said witnesses reported seeing three or four men fleeing the Savannah Mall in a black sedan after the shooting Friday morning.
Cohrs says the woman was taken to a local hospital, but he did not know how seriously she was wounded.
Phil McConnell, the mall's general manager, said an officer told him the woman does not appear to have been targeted. Cohrs said investigators have not yet determined that.
It's the second time gunfire has brought police to the Savannah Mall this year. In March, police said a man fired a gun into the air outside the mall after someone stole his computer. No one was injured.
