TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday morning that they will begin using body-worn cameras.
According to LCSO, Leon County will be the 13th Sheriff's Office in the state to utilize the technology.
All uniform patrol deputies will be equipped with the cameras to start and the department says other staff will be issued the cameras as the program moves forward.
"I am confident these body-worn cameras will confirm what I already know. That is, the men and women of the Leon County Sheriff's Office are extremely well trained and provide quality service to the citizens on a daily bases," said Sheriff Mike Wood.
