EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say an 8-year-old boy has been killed in a crash that involved a stolen car and a police chase in Fulton County.
East Point police spokesman Capt. Cliff Chandler tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/291HAxo) that a 21-year-old woman stole a black Dodge Charger from a motorist at an Atlanta gas station early Monday morning.
Chandler says East Point officers spotted the car Monday afternoon and began following it. He said she tried to speed away, eventually crashing into a car carrying five people, including the boy, who died at the scene. The four other victims - two other children and two adults - were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman, whose name wasn't released, is charged with vehicular homicide, fleeing and eluding and other charges.
