MADISON, FL (WTXL) - Investigators have identified the body of a woman whose remains were found off of US Highway 19 on Thursday morning.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has identified Destiny S. Newsome Darshae, 23, of Valdosta, GA as the woman whose body was discovered by road maintenance workers on the shoulder of US Highway 19.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the body was found on the shoulder of the highway along with vehicle debris and tire marks. Officials say the evidence at the scene may indicate the victim was involved in a fatal crash.
The victim's death remains under investigation and FHP asks that anyone with information regarding the victim or the circumstances of her death contact them at (850) 410-3069.
