TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A man was arrested on Florida State's campus Wednesday after police say he followed a student around the campus and then grabbed her.
According to the FSU Police Department, Rafael Antonio Garcia was following a student on Tuesday, demanding her phone number.
The student refused but police say Garcia continued, even following her into one of her classes.
FSU PD says later in the afternoon, Garcia grabbed the victim's butt and continued to follow her, even after she told him to leave her alone.
On Wednesday, police sent a bulletin out to the entire campus about Garcia. He was taken into custody within 20 minutes of that bulletin thanks to a tip from a citizen, according to police.
Garcia does not study or work at FSU, says FSU PD, and was issued a trespass warning in addition to battery charges.
Court documents say Garcia has a $1,500 bond and is not allowed to have contact with the victim.
