TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Now more than ever employers are working with external Human Resources partners to fill their open positions.

That's why CareerSource Capital Region says you should be on your A-game when it comes to working with recruiters and headhunters.

Career Consultant Krystal Alexander joined us this morning for another edition of Your Career to discuss the do's and don't when working with recruiters.

Alexander offers these tips:

  • Make sure professional profile is built out and industry-appropriate so that you are easy to find. On that note, be sure to use keywords and list your skills.
  • Use the recruiter's preffered method of contact. This is usually shared in the job advertisement
  • If you are screened by a recruiter, Always ask what the next steps are.
  • Employ Florida Marketplace (employflorida.com)
