TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Sunday was the final performance of "13: The Musical put on by the Young Actors Theater
The show follows a 13 year old boy dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a teenager. It addresses falling in love, becoming popular, and dealing with a big move across the country.
Dance director, Vicky Swezey, says while this production has had a great run, there is so much more to the organization than the plays it produces.
"Young Actors Theatre is not just to go on and become an actor or actress. It preps you for interviews for jobs in life, a lot of our students go on to become lawyers and doctors because they gained so much confidence. And it is a great way to just get a good stepping stone in life," said Swezey.
If you missed "13: The Musical," you can catch the next Young Actors Theater Performance when they perform the Broadway hit "42nd Street" in June.
