TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- An event is supporting the community, all by showing off some of the great things local create and grow.

It's the You Make It, You Grow It Market. Founder Ken Bernhard joined us on WTXL Midday about what inspired him to bring this idea to the streets of Tallahassee.

Bernhard says it's important to the economy and vitality of the community. One of his biggest reason for founding the market was to help support local artists, growers and producers who can't afford a brick and mortar store.

Each market changes, based on the season and vendor. You'll often find produce, baked good, jewelry, crafts and photographs.

The You Make It, You Grow It Market runs March through June and again from September through December. It's the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 607 McDonnell Drive.
