LAFAYETE CO., Fla. (WTXL) -- There's a local resource for any up-and-coming authors that's all about supporting writing in the community.

Writer's INK was established in 2012 by Jonnie Whittington and Delores Leggett Walker.

The goal? Encouragement for local writers who are trying to get their work published.

The group also serves as a support system for writers who are looking for honest feedback. Organizers say group members cover all genres and skill sets, including editing and technology.

Right now, there are six members who are published or near publication.

Writer's INK meeting every Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon at the Lafayette County Public Library. It's free to take part.
