TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A new event is promising a night of wine tasting so memorable that Shakespeare himself would surely write sonnets about it!
Enter Shakespeare Uncorked.
This inaugural event is a fundraiser for the Southern Shakespeare Company, but it can be your taste buds that really benefit.
Organizers say, "To create the best event, we’ve rounded up six of Tallahassee’s top chefs to showcase a gourmet sampling to pair with a wine from one of our six wine distributors. From aperitif to dessert, our distributors will make sure your glass is decadently decanted and your plate is full of samples from Tallahassee's best."
There are 25 highly awarded and exclusive wines for the event, all of which will be available for purchase. The complete menu and wine pairings to be released January 20.
So far, organizers have named four of the chefs taking part: John Minas from The Edison, Jason Bruner from 101 Restaurant, Norman Frei from the Governor's Club and CJ Reynolds from Christoff’s.
Shakespeare Uncorked is Saturday, January 30 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at The Edison.
Limited tickets are still available, ranging from $130 - $265.
