TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- This weekend is all about getting on the move!
The Department of Health in Leon County & Move Tallahassee are hosting the Walk for Health.
It's a way to raise awareness and educate the community about getting moving and physical health.
Experts say when families especially can commit to this lifestyle change, there's big impacts in overall health and well-being.
The Walk for Health is Saturday, September 26. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 8 a.m.
It's at Tom Brown Park, and you can meet at the Rotary’s Children’s Playground. It's around the Lake Heritage Trail from Tom Brown Park to Piney Z parking lot and back. You may choose the length of walk you want, from a ½ mile, or 1, 2, 3 or 4 miles.
