VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - On Friday, May 30, 2014, the City of Valdosta Neighborhood Development Division will host a Fair Housing Training. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Valdosta City Hall Annex multi-purpose room, located at 300 N. Lee Street. The training is open to the public.
According to Sementha Mathews, Public Information Officer for the City of Valdosta, Teresa Chappell, Fair Housing Division Director of the Governor’s Office of the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity, will present on fair housing issues affecting the Valdosta community and communities across the state as they relate to the Georgia and Federal Fair Housing Acts.
